The Courtyard

An outdoor event space with its own signature

The Courtyard is no standard courtyard. It is a 1,500 m² urban oasis, enclosed by art, steel and containers. Under the open sky, right in the heart of Sloterdijk. One of Amsterdam’s most distinctive outdoor event spaces.

Bamboo and greenery break up the steel and concrete. At its centre stands an industrial tower that gives the area its height and character. And yes, there is a helicopter on site, part of the terrain, not the transport. The scale invites big thinking, the setting delivers the character.

The Courtyard accommodates corporate events and programmes of up to 1,500 guests. From reception and food concepts to full outdoor productions. With approximately 300 m² of permanent stretch tents, shelter is guaranteed while the open structure leaves room for a custom layout.

What sets The Courtyard further apart is its direct connection to The Main and The PIT. Inside and outside flow seamlessly into one another. A plenary session transitions into an open-air drinks reception. And when the weather turns, a programme of 1,500 guests can shift entirely indoors without losing its structure. That kind of flexibility at these numbers is exceptional in Amsterdam.
