Compact and self-contained
This industrial event space is a former bus depot, a room with its own character and a clear purpose. At 225 m², this is a well-suited space for a standalone dinner, party or plenary programme.
The space accommodates up to 450 guests standing and up to 250 in dinner setup. This makes The PIT fully self-contained, but equally strong as a second room within a larger event.
The rectangular layout and clear dimensions create strong sightlines and pleasant acoustics. For presentations, talks or sessions where content takes centre stage, that works in your favour. But The PIT is equally ideal for trade fair setups, parties or break-out sessions within LIEF Amsterdam.
The permanent light artwork by LUMUS Instruments gives the space a recognisable signature without overpowering it. A fixed bar is in place and can be expanded where needed.

The technical infrastructure is integrated throughout the spaces, with rigging and fixed connections for fast build-up and breakdown. Together with our dedicated technical partners we align light, sound and streaming in advance, so the tech supports the programme without disrupting the raw industrial character of LIEF Amsterdam.

Yes. At LIEF Amsterdam, event spaces can be used individually or combined to create the ideal flow for your event. This makes it easy to host presentations, breakout sessions, networking moments or dinners simultaneously.
Are the event spaces fixed, or can they be configured to suit my event?
Yes. All event spaces are fully flexible. From theatre-style seating and seated dinners to festival-style layouts, every setup is tailored to your event.
Can The Courtyard be covered in case of rain?
Yes. At LIEF Amsterdam, The Courtyard can be adapted to suit different weather conditions. Depending on your event, options include stretch tents, a covered stage or a temporary glass structure. As an additional backup, the venue also offers ample indoor space to ensure your event can continue as planned.
How do I get to LIEF Amsterdam by public transport?
LIEF Amsterdam is just a short walk from Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station and is easily accessible by train, metro, tram and bus. From the station, it's only a few minutes on foot to the venue.
What are the sound level limits at LIEF Amsterdam?
At LIEF Amsterdam, maximum sound levels are determined in accordance with local regulations and permit requirements. We'll discuss the appropriate sound levels with you in advance to ensure your event runs smoothly and complies with all applicable guidelines.
Are there any sound restrictions or local regulations we should be aware of?
Yes. At LIEF Amsterdam, outdoor programmes can continue until 11:00 PM in line with local regulations. After that, your event can continue indoors, allowing the programme to carry on seamlessly.
